Dr. Panagiotis Kokkalis the Dean of is the College of Business Administration and an Associate Professor in Strategy at Al Falah University, Dubai, UAE. Panagiotis received his PhD in Strategic Management from Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (UK) where he also taught. He has held positions in University of Leeds Business School, University of Liverpool Management School and Regent’s University London in the UK. He has taught Strategy, Organizational Behavior, HRM, and Research Methodology in universities in the UK, Singapore, and France. His research interests are centered on (tacit) knowing and learning, organizational routines and capabilities, organizational epistemology, and qualitative research methodology. Panagiotis has presented his work in prestigious international conferences and published in the Sage Dictionary of Qualitative Management Research, Organization Studies, and the International Journal of Business and Society. His current research focuses on understanding the role of tacit knowing in organizational routines and capabilities, the impact of the Aristotelian concept of Phronesis in managerial decision making, and the role of breakdowns, accidents and surprises in organizational contexts.

Dr. Kokkalis is a renowned scholar and educator and has been a recipient of numerous scholarships, fundings, and awards. These include, inter alia, the “Richard Thorpe Early Career Researcher Prize”, the Student’s Union “Best Overall Teacher” Award and various nominations that include the award for “Outstanding Innovation in Teaching” and the “Best Overall Teacher”.
