As part of the initiative of the Ministry of Education and in collaboration with Stanford University, selected faculty members from chosen public and private universities in the UAE were trained to integrate entrepreneurship into the higher education curricula. The initiative was started in 2015 and Al Falah University completed its participation in the 2017 Intensive Summer Course at Stanford University, USA.
Al Falah University’s representative, Ms. Ghaida Al Rawashdeh, Head of General Education Department participated with other thirty educators from other institutions of higher education in the United Arab Emirates to part of this year’s selection.
Participants attended intensive seminars, workshops, and online courses. The program concluded with visits to Stanford University and Silicon Valley to instruct them of advanced teaching systems and involve them in a series of cumulative activities and experiences to develop and enhance their entrepreneurial and innovative design capabilities.
Through this participation, Al-Falah University seeks to develop the university education system and initiate scientific research. Innovation and entrepreneurship adopt a method and approach according to a vision that will advance the educational process and its outputs. This is in addition to encouraging students to transform their ideas into innovations by providing tools of innovation and entrepreneurship capable of developing and building their abilities and qualification to engage in the society.
